Shirley Charbonneau Obituary

Shirley May Charbonneau, 84, of Brutus, Michigan, passed away on March 11, 2024, at Medilodge of Cheboygan, MI. She was born to Orval and Virginia Mikesell on September 20, 1939, in Logansport, Indiana. Shirley grew up in Wayne, MI where she graduated from Washington Lincoln Junior High and Wayne Memorial. She married the love of her life, Earl Charbonneau, on September 22, 1962, in Wayne, MI. She loved to crochet and color, and socializing with family and friends was very important to her. Her fur babies held a special place in her heart.  

She is survived by her adoring husband, Earl Charbonneau; seven children Kim (Tim) Charbeneau, Earl (Amber) Charbonneau, Gale (Debbie) Charbonneau, Dominic (Joy) Charbonneau, Michael (Annette) Charbonneau, Dennis (Megan) Charbonneau, and Frances (Bill) Clark; twenty grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; her brother Wayne Mikesell; and nephew Thomas Mikesell.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Orval Charbonneau; and in-laws Richard and Frances Charbonneau.  

A funeral service to honor her life will be officiated by Pastor Rob Miner of the Church of the Nazarene at Stone Funeral Home in Petoskey, MI on Friday March 15, 2024, at 11:00 AM with a visitation one hour prior.

Memorial donations may be made to her husband or son, Gale Charbonneau.
