Steve "Clem" Foster Obituary

Steve “Clem” Foster, 58 of Petoskey, Michigan, passed away on July 24, 2022, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Son of Alfred and Nellie (Holland) Foster, Clem was born on November 14, 1963, in Petoskey. He grew up in Petoskey and graduated from Petoskey High School. He also studied at ITT Technical Institute in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

On April 20, 1993, he married Monetta Seelye in Jamaica.

Clem received his journeyman license as an electrician. He worked for Squier Electric for many years.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking, and blueberry picking. Clem made several furniture pieces for his home and cabin at Brevort Lake. The U.P. was his happy place. He always had a smile on his face.

Clem is survived by the love of his life Monetta Foster; his siblings: Allen “Ick” (Kim Kuebler) Foster, Joe (Linda French) Foster, Bill (Mary Johnson) Foster, Annie (Dennis) Gunderson, Mike (Jim White) Foster, Jane Coffin, Marylou (Bill) Hansen; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents Al and Nellie Foster, and his sister Sue Kinney.

A celebration of life will be at Foster’s Pond on August 13, 2022, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. His remains will be interred at Greenwood Cemetery in Petoskey.
