Steven Thomas Scheitler

Steven Thomas Scheitler, age 44, of Petoskey, passed away unexpectedly at his home on February 16, 2026.

Steven was born October 18, 1981, in Sault Ste Marie, Michigan. He was employed at City Park Grill for around 20 years as a line cook. Steven loved to cook and experiment with food. He loved listening to rap music, his favorite being Tupac.

He was preceded in death by his Mother, step father, and uncle. He is survived by his father Joel Scheitler and step mother Julie Betka of Sault Ste Marie, Michigan, His sister Amanda Scheitler, nieces Alivia and Isabelle, and Nephew Jace Ferrell of Kincheloe, his Uncle Jody Scheitler of Sault Ste Marie Michigan, and Several cousins. He is also survived by his family at City Park Grill.

Celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
