Susan Jane Stafford

Susan J. Stafford, age 84 of Cheboygan, MI passed away on June 8, 2022. She was born August 28, 1937 in Trenton, NJ.  Susan grew up in Sault Ste. Marie, MI and attended Sault Ste. Marie High School with the class of 1955.

She began her career life as an airline stewardess for Northeast Airlines (now Delta Airlines). She also worked for WSOO Radio doing marketing and radio advertisements. She continued in the Sault area working for the Eastern Upper Peninsula Transportation Authority. Her final career was in Washington DC for the Howrey & Simon Law Firm in their executive administration team where she retired in 2007.

Susan was a member of the Republican Woman’s Organization, Animal Rescues & Sanctuaries.  She was an avid reader and was known to be a high kick enthusiast.

She is survived by her daughters; Kristine Bourque (Jerry Shull) of Rapid City, SD and Jill (Ken) Verheecke of Cheboygan, MI and Wayne & Cherie Precord of Cheboygan, MI.

Interment for Susan will be held at Oaklawn Chapel Gardens Cemetery in Sault Ste. Marie, MI.
