Suzanne Stepek, beloved mother, treasured sister, loving grandmother, and cherished aunt, passed away peacefully on September 10th, 2022 at Bay Bluffs Care Facility surrounded by her loved ones.
Daughter of the late Clarence and Viola Hughey, Suzanne was born March 11th, 1942 and grew up in Harbor Springs with her 11 brothers and sisters. On May 8th 1960 she married Fred Wenz and they adopted their pride and joy, a son, Michael. On May 8th, 2002 she married the love of her life, Richard "Dick" Stepek. She worked many jobs, but the longest at Kimberly Country Estates where she retired from in 2011.
Suzanne's greatest joys were her son and daughter in law, daughters, her grandbabies, greatgrandbabies and her family. She enjoyed playing cards and trips to the casino with her sisters and nephew Stevie.
Suzanne is survived by her son Mike (Lyn) Wenz, daughters Tammy (David) Adrianse, Tonya
(Dan) Schmidt, sisters Kathy (Dan) Warner, Louise (Les) Bosma, JoAnn (Doran) Stanley, Nancy (Gordon) Temple, her grandchildren Ashley (Scott) Kughman, Chad (Sienna) Wenz, Steffany
(Kenny) Young, Lyndsey (Mike) Deeter, Anthony (Elizabeth) Adrianse, Sean (Shawna) Adrianse, Courtney (Elliot) Schmidt, Isabella Schmidt, and Jake Schmidt, her great-grandchildren Xaiver, Zaidee, Aveleigh, and Leeam Kughman, Bentley and Lexi Wenz, Myles, Brooks, and Sutton Young, Connor Deeter, Easton and Alayna Adrianse, Anthony (AJ), McCoy, Maedok, and Archer Adrianse, and Bode Drain, sisters in law Sue Hughey, Carole Hughey, and Maxine Hughey, and many nieces and nephews that adored her.
Suzanne was preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Viola Hughey, first husband Fred Wenz, late husband Richard "Dick" Stepek, sisters Sally Gokee, Lilly Hughey-Olson, Wanda Hughey, brother-in-law Steve Gokee, brothers Clarence Hughey Jr., Johnny Hughey, Otto Hughey, and Mose Hughey.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been made by Schiller Funeral Home.
