Tami S. Flum, 65, of Petoskey, passed away peacefully Monday, March 31, 2025, at her niece’s home in Midland, Michigan. Tami succumbed to her battle with Colorectal cancer that she was diagnosed with back in May 2024.
Tami was born on September 10, 1959, in Petoskey, Michigan, the daughter of the late Peter and Lois (Carter) Flum. She retired from McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital on October 2024 with 23 years of service. She always talked highly about her co-worker friends and shared so many great memories about them.
Tami had such a great sense of humor and laugh that made everyone smile around her. She enjoyed listening to music by Daniel O’Donnell and loved crocheting blankets for family and friends. Tami participated with the Northern Michigan Cancer Crusaders and American Cancer Society.
Survivors include sisters: Rosemary Knapp of Petoskey, Laverne (Dick) Buffenbarger of Buckley, Judy Krussell of Petoskey, Pat Bowen of Traverse City, Micki Williams of Petoskey, and Connie Whitmore of Boyne City; many nieces and nephews; and many great nieces and nephews. Tami was preceded in death by her parents Peter and Lois (Carter) Flum; and sister Linda Gardner.
A celebration of life will be held Friday, April 11, 2025, at Stone Funeral Home, 2098 E. Mitchell Rd., Petoskey MI 49770. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM with celebration service at 12:00 PM Burial immediately following at Greenwood Cemetery.
