Tammy J. Manning

Tammy J. Manning, age 59 of Cheboygan, Michigan, passed away at home March 4, 2026. She was born on September 26, 1966, in Cheboygan, the daughter of Clesson and Judy (Douglas) Hurlburt. On July 17, 1997, she married Robert A. Manning in Cheboygan.

She grew up in Mackinaw City and graduated from Mackinaw City High School in 1984. After graduation, she went on to earn her license in massage therapy. She found great joy in her work at the Cheboygan Public Library and was a devoted member of St. John Lutheran Church where she handled the secretarial duties. In addition, she dedicated her time to the community as a board member of the Cheboygan Salvation Army. She was a voracious reader who also enjoyed painting and spending time tending to her garden.

Tammy is survived by her loving husband Robert Manning; daughter Jennifer (Parnell) White, and son Noel Manning; her mother Judy Hurlburt; brother Doug (Stephanie) Hurlburt; and her nephew Eli Hurlburt. She is preceded in death by her father Clesson Hurlburt.

Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 14, 2026, at St. John Lutheran Church. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am with a service to follow at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions can be made to St. John Lutheran Church and Cheboygan Salvation Army.
