Thomas Skinner

Thomas Eugene Skinner, 84, died peacefully October 17, 2025.

He was born in Jonesboro, Arkansas in 1941. As a child he moved with his family to the Lansing area where he also put down roots although his love of the south never left him. He had a passion for architecture and loved refurbishing old houses. He was especially drawn to New Orleans and Natchez, where he was surrounded by the houses that he found so fascinating. He enjoyed travel with a particular fondness for Mexico and car trips across the United States (with his dog Buddy at his side), jogging, and antiques.

He will be greatly missed by friends and family.

Special thanks to the staff of Mallard Cove Assisted Living and Hospice for the care they provided and also the tenderness of the community of residents at Mallard Cove.

No services are planned. His sons plan to spread ashes at his favorite homes.
