Timothy Parsons, 78 of Maple River Township, passed away on April 29, 2025 at his home surrounded by his loved ones.
Tim was born on November 1, 1946, in Petoskey, MI, the son of Harry Parsons and Esther (Eckert) Parsons. He graduated Petoskey High School and later attended classes at North Central Michigan College in Petoskey. On October 28, 1994 he married Lynne Barton in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Tim proudly owned and operated HT Roofing Company in Harbor Springs for over 50 years. In his free time, Tim was an avid boater and a great captain. He was looking forward to transitioning to RV trips in his retirement. Also, he was an excellent skier, participating in the Petoskey High School Ski Team. Post high school, was on the ski patrol at Nub’s Nob.
Tim is survived by his wife Lynne Parsons, stepson Kevin Barton, nephews Mark Donker, Mike Everts and niece Amy Everts. As well as one superhero grandnephew Jason Leech who was always there for him when he needed it and helped him throughout his illness. Special friends Bill Bosker, Sam and Bonnie Gokee and Patty Bek. Tim was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and a nephew Scott Leech.
Anyone wishing to make a memorial contribution in memory of Tim should consider the Little Traverse Bay Humane Society or McLaren Hospice.
There will be a celebration of life planned at a later date.
