Timothy "Tim" A Schmit

Timothy “Tim” A Schmit, age 71 of Petoskey passed away on June 3, 2023 at Corwell Spectrum Butterworth Hospital with his sons by his side.

Tim was born May 27, 1952, in Petoskey the son of Francis and Edith (Morford) Schmit.  He graduated from Petoskey High School. On August 5, 1972, he married the love of his life Nancy (Petrowski). Tim worked forty-one years for Petoskey Schools, thirty-nine of them at Lincoln Elementary.  He also worked for Johnson Buses, Inc.  and drove the same bus route for forty-nine years.

Tim enjoyed wood cutting, camping, kayaking and loved traveling with his wife Nancy.

Tim is survived by his wife Nancy, two sons Tyler (Faith) and Torey, grandchildren Abby and Cassie, great-granddaughters Tempy and Ella, one brother Glenn (Janet), niece Cindy (Ken), nephew Scott (Beth) as well as other extended family members and his beloved cats Obie and Mojo.

Burial will take place at Greenwood Cemetery in Petoskey.
