Trista Marie (Sierzputowski) Paone

Trista Marie (Sierzputowski) Paone, 57 of Petoskey, Michigan, passed away on November 4, 2023 in St. Ignace, Michigan.

Daughter of Tristan and Sharon (Lyons) Sierzputowski, Trista was born on October 31, 1966 in Petoskey. She grew up in a Coast Guard family and lived various places around the U.S. while growing up. Trista attended Grand Valley State University for nursing, Western Michigan University to become a physician assistant, and received her Master’s Degree in Medicine. She was a member of the Sigma Theta Tau at Grand Valley State University from 1989 to 1991

Trista was a physician assistant at Saginaw Psychiatry. She was an American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) member. Trista was also an active and widely loved member of the addiction recovery community in Northern Michigan.

She loved to sing and dance. Spending time with her family and helping others was very important to her. She also enjoyed spending time at the beach on Lake Michigan.

Trista is survived by her sons Joseph Paone of Denver, Colorado and Vincent Paone of Petoskey, Michigan; her mother Sharon Sierzputowski of Petoskey, Michigan; her beloved cat Gizmo; her uncle Mike Lyons of Petoskey, Michigan; her aunt and uncle Wm and Corine Lyons of Jupiter, Florida; her aunt and uncle Mr. and Mrs. Mike Sierz of Wyoming; her aunt and uncle Don and Dessie Beaver of Kingsley, Michigan; her aunt and uncle Mr. and Mrs. Mark Sierzputowski of Lake Ann, Michigan; as well as many cousins.

She is preceded in death by her father Tristan Sierzputowski; and her brother Tristan Jr.

Those wishing to make a charitable donation in Trista’s memory are asked to give to her family.

A memorial service officiated by Rev. Jonathan Mays will be on November 11, 2023 at Stone Funeral Home at 2:00 PM. A visitation will begin at 1:00 PM.
