Tyler Elisabeth Anderson, 18, of Harbor Springs, found peace on February 21, 2020.
Tyler was born on August 30, 2001 in Lighthouse Point, Florida, the daughter of Michael Anderson and Arlene Engels. She lived an adventurous life from the beaches of Florida, to the mountains of Vermont, settling in Harbor Springs. She graduated from Harbor Springs High School in 2019, furthering her studies in Grand Rapids, and gaining independence, living on her own, and joining her best friend, Bella.
Tyler loved warm weather most of all and going to the beach and boating. She enjoyed swimming and snorkeling, horse back riding, going fast on anything and skiing in the winter. She will forever be remembered by her friends as a "legend" and "a badass". And to others she will be remembered as someone who would treat them with respect, kindness and understanding.
She was a unique and an old soul who touched so many with a genuine desire to see the best in everyone.
She is survived by her parents, Michael Anderson and Arlene Engels; grandparents, Irmgard and John Bauer, Robert Engels and Opal Anderson; Aunt Cathy Engels; Uncle Jeff Anderson; and cousin Justin (Carlie) Anderson and best friends Bella Lundeen and Devon Mogford.
There will be a memorial service at Stone Funeral Home on March 8, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. with a one hour visitation prior to the service.
Stone Funeral Home is in care of arrangements.
