She was also a life member of the Northern Michigan Hospital Auxiliary of Petoskey. She enjoyed her time at Petoskey Bay View Country Club, where her cherished Rummikub group of 30 years was born.

Virginia is lovingly survived by her daughter, Jane, and son-in-law, Peter Schwartzfisher; her four grandsons: AJ (Miranda) Wilbur, Nick (Heather Montie) Schwartzfisher, Dan (Bree) Schwartzfisher, and Ben (Kirstyn VanMale) Schwartzfisher; and her two great-granddaughters, Quinn Wilbur and Marisa Wilbur.
