Warren Perry Smith

Warren Perry Smith, 84 of Cheboygan passed away on August 11, 2018 at the Brook of Cheboygan.

Warren was born on November 8, 1933 in Linton, IN, the son of Wilbur P. Smith and Mary Mae (Williams) Smith. He grew up in Linton, IN and Warren, MI and attended school at Lincoln High School in Warren, MI. In 1956 he married Olive Diane Santhony in Warren, MI. Warren served our country in the Army as a Military Police Officer. He eventually moved from Warren to Shelby Township and after he retired he moved to Alger, MI. Warren enjoyed woodworking, bowling, golfing, boating, and had a good sense of humor. He was a past member of the Fraternal Order of the Moose.

Warren is survived by his children Lori (Robert) Merrick, Janett (Richard) Wagner, and Brian (Mary) Smith, grandchildren Cassandra Chance, Jenaé Elias, Wesley Merrick, Melissa (Jessika) Olshove, Jared (Tiffany) Elias, and Benjamin Merrick, great-grandchildren Gabriel Elias and Jaden Elias, siblings Iris Syjud, Fran Showalter, David Smith, and brother in law Thomas Phillipoff. He was preceded in death by his wife Olive, his parents Wilbur and Mary Smith, his daughter Rebecca Daley, sister Sammy Phillipoff, brothers in law John Syjud and Roger Showalter, and his beloved Beagle Molly.

There are no services currently being held for Warren.
