Margaret Campeau Obituary

Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall her live: And whosever liveth and believeth in me, shall never die. Believest thou this? John 11: 25-26 KJV

She believed, and on March 24th, 2023, Margaret Ann Campeau (Fisher) took her first breath in Heaven, in the very presence of her savior.

Born on the 16th of July, 1936, to Charles Edward Fisher and Mary Margaret (Clark) in Cheboygan, Michigan, Margaret was one of several children, all of whom, have preceded her in death; Alma, Mary, Rose, Charles, Ronald, and Shirley.

Margaret grew up in Cheboygan, while still a child, she met Leon Raymond Campeau. Growing up they attended school together. However, God has bigger plans for them, and eventually, they fell in love and married on January 12th, 1957, and recently celebrated 66 years of marriage. Years of happiness and joy, at times great sadness, some gains, some losses, mountains and valleys, but always years of love… for this is love.

Margaret and Leon came to know Jesus in 1980. This decision would have a profound effect on them, as well as all those who knew them. They were not ashamed of the gospel, for they believed it was the power of Salvation to all who heard it. Margaret and Leon were a testimony to its goodness and truth.

Along the way, they were given a heritage from the lord, their children: Debra (Chuck) Abernathy, Terry (Robyn) Campeau, twins Mitchell Campeau (who preceded her in death in 1972) and Michelle (Jerry) Durst, and Kevin (Lin) Campeau.

Time passed and Margaret was given the crown of the aged, her grandchildren: Crystal Hoyt, Tanya (Mike) Sova, Sarah Fisher, Curt (Michelle) Campeau, Danielle Campeau, Nichole (Justin) Drayton, Rollin Sova II (who preceded her in death in 1995), Amber (Sam) El-Jobran, Ashley (Alex) Clarke, Alisha (Matt) Berg, Tracy II (Elizabeth) Lownsberry, Amanda Walter, Jacob (Rachel) Campeau, Michael Lownsberry, and Kaela Evans.

Then later, several more blessings followed, in the form of 25 great grandchildren.

Margaret was blessed, and was a blessing. Anyone who knew her, knew she was a strong and independent woman. She was truly a wife of noble character; whose worth was far above rubies. Her children arise and call her blessed. As we say our goodbyes, with deep sadness, we do not grieve as those who have no hope, for we know that we will see her again. Grief is the price we pay for love.

Romans 8:28, And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose.
