Chad D. Charboneau

Chad D. Charboneau, age 35, of Ossineke and formerly of Cheboygan passed away Thursday, January 19, 2017. He was born May 13, 1981 in Cheboygan, the son of Larry and Janet (Sharits) Charboneau. On August 28, 2010 at the First Congregational Church, Chad married Rachel Brooke.

Chad graduated from Cheboygan High School in 1999 and had worked in the parts department at Fernelius Ford. In October of last year, he and Rachel moved to Ossineke. He enjoyed camping, fishing on the Cheboygan river, hunting, shooting and playing video games. Chad was a great storyteller with a great sense of humor who never met a dog he didn’t like.

Survivors include his wife, Rachel of Ossineke, his parents, Larry Charboneau and Janet (Stewart) Moore, one brother, Gregory (Dodie) Charboneau, his grandmother, Mary Charboneau and two nieces, Trixie and Emily Charboneau, all of Cheboygan, his father and mother-in-law, J.C. (Laurie) Brooke of Topinabee, sister-in-law, Jodi Brooke of Walloon Lake and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James Charboneau and David and Jean Sharits.

A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at the Nordman-Christian Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Chad’s name may be directed to his family.
