Alice R. Tallman

Alice R. Tallman, age 95, of Cheboygan passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at her home. She was born December 31, 1921 in Cheboygan, the daughter of William and Ida (Morway) Lahaie. On October 28, 1939 in Cheboygan, Alice married Clifford Tallman who preceded her in death in 1971.

Alice had worked for Fox Valley Instruments for many years and retired in 1986.

Survivors include her daughter, Mary (Ken) Achard of Roscommon, six grandchildren, Tracey (Mark Szatkowski) Charboneau of Cheboygan, Richard (Cathy) Tallman of Leesburg, FL, Dennis Lafrinere of Battle Creek, Steve Lafrinere of Battle Creek, Carrie (Bill) Knaffle of Cheboygan and Malinda Achard of Marshall, N.C., nine great grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren, brother-in-law, Clem Valot of Mackinaw City, daughter-in-law, Janet Tallman of Tower and her son-in-law, Richard Lafrinere of Battle Creek. Besides her husband Cliff, she was preceded in death by her two sons, Richard (Bonnie) Tallman and Keith Tallman in infancy, one daughter, Carolye Lafrinere and two grandsons, Franz Achard, IV and Kenneth Achard in infancy.

The funeral service will take place at the Nordman-Christian Funeral Home on Friday, July 21 at 1:00 PM with the family greeting friends beginning at 11:00 AM. Rev. Duane Wachowiak will officiate and burial will take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Cheboygan Senior Center’s Meal on Wheels Program.
