We were all really sorry to hear about Boyd. I looked forward to seeing you both every time we went up north—whether we saw you or not you were always in the back of my mind. I’ll always have the memory of going through the bait shop (every time I smell fish it reminds me of the two of you!). Then, into the house and seeing Boyd in his chair by the heating stove watching tv. We enjoyed visiting with both of you, the stories told, and the time spent together. Boyd will be greatly missed for his smile, his strength and his longevity. Love you both and God Bless you Doris in your time of grief.

My thoughts are with the family at this difficult time. There is little I can say or do to ease your pain and suffering. May knowing that you are in the thoughts of many bring a measure of comfort. Life is to short and our loved ones are gone from our lives too quickly. God's promise of a resurrection is found at John 5:28, may it bring you confort during your time of sorrow.

I was so saddened to hear of Boyd's passing. Boyd, Doris and sons were so much fun at the senior center. I always enjoyed our Sundays together. He will be so missed.

Doris, our thoughts and prayers are with you, as the years flew by it was like you and Boyd were just there----- marching along thru the years, lot's of fishing stories and memories of you at "Black River" church, where we met. Anyone that had anything to do with Black Lake will remember Boyd as King of that lake, those long ago days when Sturgeon fishing was not restricted were really something, and Boyd will be at the top of the list as sturgeon stories are told. Love you Doris, and God be with you.

Uncle Boyd is the last survivor of 6 siblings. My thoughts are him on the dredge pumping sand to shore to make a beach for customers. Fish Shanties in the winter - Bait for Sale in the summer. Expert at Hunting and Fishing. Consulted by several authors writing books about hunting and fishing in Northern Michigan. Googled and found to be listed for his early Sturgeon Decoys for ice fishing. He lived his adult life at Black Lake MI at Mud Creek. Loved and will be missed by many. Hugs Uncle Boyd.
