Carol Frances Serva, loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, was surrounded by family when she peacefully went to be with her Lord, June 21, 2016, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Carol was born on May 17, 1941, in Petoskey, the daughter of Carl and Laurie (McDiarmid) Brown. She grew up in Harbor Springs and graduated from Harbor Springs High School in 1957.
On December 4, 1987, she married Tony Serva. Together, they enjoyed golfing and spending winters at their home in Arcadia, Florida.
Carol worked in the Finance Department of Northern Michigan Hospital for 35 years, until retirement in 2003.
Carol was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church in Petoskey, the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Auxiliary, Women of the Moose, Amvets Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed bowling, waterskiing and spending time with her family.
Carol is survived by her husband, Tony Serva of Petoskey; her daughter, Tammie (Andy) LaPointe of Cedar, MI.; grandchildren, Megan Henry of Traverse City, MI., Ellie LaPointe of Manhattan, NY., and Parker LaPointe of Cedar, MI.; and her sister, Marilyn Torrey of Arcadia, FL.
She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Kenneth; and her sister, Margaret Brown.

There will be a Memorial Mass at St. Francis Xavier Church on Friday, June 24, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. with one hour gathering time prior to the service. Father Dennis Stilwell will officiate the service.
