Dayle Anne Heintschel, 56, of Petoskey, died March 19, 2017.
Dayle was born September 9, 1960, to Matt and Anne (Christie) Simunovich in Englewood, New Jersey. Her family moved to Delaware early in her life. Later, they relocated to Findlay, Ohio, where Dayle earned her Nursing Degree from Lima Technical College. She began working as a nurse at Ball Metal Corporation in Findlay, Ohio.
On January 20, 1994, Dayle married Greg Heintschel in Findlay, Ohio. Together, they had two children.
Dayle worked as an office manager for Greg's dental office, until 2007, when the family moved to Petoskey, MI. Dayle worked as a nurse at Bay Bluffs Medical Care Facility, until her retirement in 2013.
Dayle was an animal lover; she adored her dogs and enjoyed volunteering at the Little Traverse Bay Humane Society. She found pleasure in the outdoors and traveling with family and friends. Family time was Dayle's greatest joy. She loved her children and husband dearly. Dayle will be remembered as a giving and loving individual.
Dayle is survived by her husband, Dr. Greg Heintschel of Petoskey; her son, Matthew Heintschel and daughter, Megan Heintschel, both of Petoskey, Michigan; her step daughters, Mallory (Derek) Horstman and Melissa (Nathan Horstman) Heintschel, both of Sylvania, Ohio; grandson, Logan Horstman; parents, Matthew and Anne Simunovich of Findlay, Ohio; and sisters, Tracey (Buddy) Pletz-Reed and Anne Butler.
There will be a visitation at the United Methodist Church in Petoskey, MI on Saturday, April 1, 2017 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. followed immediately by a memorial service. Pastor James Mitchum will officiate the service.
