Death is never easy but when it's one who means the world to us it's especially hard.

Although it may be hard to cope with the passing of Douglas and the pain seems unbearable at times please know you are not alone for Psalm 34:18 promises "God is near to those that are broken at heart and those crushed in spirit he saves"

Pray to him for the strength, weep to him when there are no words.

While grief at Douglas's passing is great, joy in welcoming them back in the earthly resurrection will be even greater. God assures us "Your dead will live, Awake and shout joyfully you residents in the dust." Isaiah 26:19

Until that time, may you find comfort in the Bible's future promises and in the" God of all comfort."(1Corinthians 1:3, 4)

To my brother-in-law, Doug, you left us too soon. You were amazing to your parents, your family, particularly nephews and nieces, your beloved pets, the community, Pat and her family, and how you loved to farm. Thank you for the privilege for allowing me to have spent this journey with you. Thank you for your letter to me - It was priceless and such an honor.

Mama Pat - I'm so sorry. I will always remember Doug sitting quietly with a slight smile and out of no where have the best one liner comeback. All the hours spent playing hand and foot games and him laughing every time he snuck in a win. So many memories I will cherish forever. Love You!!!
