So sorry for your loss! I just came across this on the internet. Dr. Herzog was my surgeon for quite some time, as I had a very rare problem in both knees, which was about 50 years ago. It's hard to believe that all those years have passed; but after going through many, many surgeries, Dr. Herzog was the best. God bless!

Just a word of condolence from one of many he made whole again. He took my shattered leg and helped me heal over 55 years ago.. He was so mad at me for breaking out the bottom of my walking cast playing football, but I never forgot his kindness.

Condolemces to the entire Herzog family. I remember Dr, Gene well for I did a bit of babysitting for your family many years ago, but it was my sister Toni who did most of the sitting! She always spoke highly of the Herzog family and especially of Gene and Sally. Prayers to all of you.

Many great memories of Gene and family. Here are just a few.
When SANTA and I came to your house at Christmas.
When coach had 2 Doctor friends on his sideline at his football games.
When at your home a wine tasting party one bottle had no label. Gene called it a
'Mystery Wine'. At the end of the tasting Pete's homemade vino, 'Mystery Wine' won! He was so proud!
At our home all the Italian sausage making parties with you and the Whalens.
Planting trees up North and all the home dinner parties.
Much LOVE to Sally and all the Family.

I'm so sorry for your loss. May "the God of all comfort" be with you and your family during this difficult time. (2 Corinthians 1:3, 4) I have personally found much comfort in the Bible's promise of a resurrection of those who have died to a much better world.
