My condolences to Elaine's family. My mother and Elaine taught together at PHS. Elaine became a good friend to both my parents reaching out and caring about them in later years. I always admired her honesty and deep sense of caring for others.
May your sorrow be lessened in knowing how positively she touched the lives of others.

Mrs. Price was the best, most competent, kindest, caring teacher I have ever had in my whole, entire life. I had her many years ago in 1975 at PHS in a shorthand class. I was failing the class originally but Mrs. Price took a personal interest in my success and with her help and pep talks, I went from a failing grade to an A in the class. Mrs. Price, was such a good, good person. Just a quality person, all the way around. Mrs. Price, I will miss you. You were a bright light on this earth...and now you're a bright light in heaven. God Bless you her children, and grand-children.

Mrs. Price was my high school business teacher. She represented competence, kindness, and a willingness to work with each student. She was my model--even to becoming a business education teacher! I never saw her after graduation and never had a chance to tell her how important she was to me during my high school years.

My condolences go out to you, David, Jackie, and your families, at this time.
I recently spoke with your Mom about attending our upcoming PHS Class of ’65 50th Reunion and our classmates were so looking forward to sharing the evening with her She was one of our class advisors from 9th through 12th grades so we had a special bond with her. Many of us have such wonderful memories of those years and know that your Mom was a part of them.
We are certain that ‘Mrs. Price’ will be with us in spirit on September 12th and we will be remembering her as well.
Sincerely,
Jean Moyer Powell

My prayers and condolences to your family. I will miss running into Mrs. Price, she always had a smile and was always encouraging. It was amazing that after all of the years I have been out of school she still remembered me. May God console you with many great memories.

I am so sorry to learn of the passing of Mrs. Price. She was one of my favorite teachers at PHS and I will never forget her. She always believed in her students and helped us realize our potential. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Our sympathy and prayers for Elaine's family from her many friends and colleagues at McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital. Elaine started volunteering at the Petoskey hospital August 4, 1987. Over her 28 years of service you could find her 2, 3 or even 4 days a week at the Information Desk greeting patients and way finding around the campus. She loved greeting her former students, their children and sometimes their grandchildren. She assumed a leadership role in the hospital auxiliary as board secretary for many years and was voted Volunteer of the Year. She gave 14,374 hours of service to the hospital and remained active through July of this year. Elaine thank you for the hundreds of birthday, get well and sympathy cards you mailed out for me over the years. I will miss you my friend. Susan
