Dear Braidwoods, family, and friends (9/9/2015),
We just read of Rick's passing, in the "Michigan Alumnus", of Rick's passing. Although we have not seen him, for a long time, our thoughts have always been in our conversations, over the years (We could not reach Rick). He was a good friend, a fraternity brother at UM's Phi Kappa Sigma, and most wonderful of all introduced Linda and me to each other, in 1963, for a resultant 51 years of a great marriage…all thanks to Rick's thoughtfulness. Rick was, indeed, a fine man, and we enjoyed him immensely. We offer our deepest sympathies and condolences to all for this very sad and great loss. In addition, my brother Dick was Rick's teacher, mentor, fraternity brother, and very close friend. We hope that time will help to lessen the pain of Rick's loss. Our love to all,

So sorry to hear of Ricks Passing. I worked at Bay Bluffs while he was there and remember many conversations regarding Wolverine football as well as him trying to teach me cribbage. He always had a smile on his face when we talked. Thoughts are with the family during this difficult time.

The world is a lesser place for not having Rick in it, but we are better people for having known him. Though we mourn his passing deeply, we feel honored to have been part of his life.
