Ida B (Freed) Zell

Ida Zell, age 85 of Boyne City passed away Sunday, May 17th, 2015.

She was born May 16, 1930 in Elwell, MI to Jacob and Gladys (Charter) Freed.  On October 8, 1950 she married Jack Zell.  They made their home in Boyne City.

Ida enjoyed quilting, gardening, baking and scrapbooking but she enjoyed being with her family most of all.

Ida was a lifetime member of the Charlevoix Chapter #72 Order of Eastern Star.

She is survived by her daughter Yvonne (Park) Hueber; son Ted (Roxanne) Zell; son-in-law C.R. Gardner; grandchildren Jennifer (Richard) Hoffman, Jessica (Tim) Baker, Andrew Hueber, Michael Gardner, Tamara Zell (Kevin Kusch and daughter Sophia), Rebecca (Mike) Davis, Nicholas Zell and Brian Gardner; great grandchildren Haley Hoffman, Heath Hoffman, Luke Baker, Skyler Hueber, Lena Baker, Isabelle Davis and Ethan Davis; brothers Leslie (Alverta) Freed, Wayne (Minnie) Freed, Eugene (Margaret) Freed and Larry Freed; sisters Arvella (Bob) Divebliss, Elnora (Russell) Wieferich and Patricia Merrill.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Her husband Jack preceded her in death on September 24, 2006.  Ida is also preceded in death by her daughter Christine Gardner; parents Jacob and Gladys Freed; her brothers Junior Freed and Charles Freed; and sister Doris Morey.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
