An erudite and cultured man with a sense of humor. It would have been nice to have encountered him later in life that I might have observed the perspectives of such as him. Would that more high school students could meet with his like. May he rest in peace.

I graduated from Archbishop Carroll in 1957. I was fortunate enough to have Father O'Malley as a teacher in both my Jr. & Sr. years. To this day, he remains one of the more inspirational and memorable people in my life. He taught the essence of living and being a productive human being. He will be sorely missed.

Fr. O'Malley introduced me to haikus, as well as to The New Yorker magazine when I took his English course at Archbishop Carroll over 50 years ago. A cultured man, and a class act. May he rest in peace.
