John F. Zavesky, of Boyne City, better known to some as Osh died suddenly on January 28th, 2016 at the age of 53 at his home. He was the fifth child of Leo R. and Lenore M. (Greiger) Zavesky who both proceeded him in death. John was born in Chicago, Illinois later moving to Fife Lake and finally settling in Boyne City. John attended the Boyne City School System.
John was a painter by trade owning his own business (Spruce Up Painting), but loved to have fun and enjoy life. John received many awards while working at Disney World in Florida for his fine detailed painting. On occasion you could see him fishing which he enjoyed not often enough. In his days Osh was an avid bowler. He bowled on teams and also sponsored teams. There was always a smile on his face and love in his heart. His biggest love was for his German Shepherds. His last love was Shania, his shepherd whom he just lost this past fall.
He is survived by his siblings, Raymond Zavesky (Joyce), Robert Zavesky, Lenore Fink (Alan), and Patricia Whittle (Ken). He had many nieces and nephews that loved him a well.
Visitation will be held from 10:00am to 11:00am with a service starting at 11:00 Thursday, February 11th at St. Matthew Church in Boyne City, MI. Burial will take place in the summer.
