The Old Man was awesome. He was full of spunk and would razz you at any given moment. He loved to watch his Westerns, Detroit Lions and enjoyed movies with the family. I'll never forget the many conversations we had confiding in each other over our share of love and frustration for his son Larry.
The Old Man was the typical "grumpy old man". He might have fussed but all in all his heart was much bigger than he let on. He is a father to me and will forever be in my heart. I'll never forget the trips to Michigan, the people and places he and his son introduced me to, or the respect I will always have for him.
There are so many good memories to hold on to, and I will cherish them until I'm visiting him upstairs and making more memories. Old Man, now You can Enjoy a juicy steak and be in pain no more. I love you dearly.

I'll never forget that 3am wake up yell.. "RICH THERES A BABOON EATING A MOUSE" Rich and I looked at each other "WHAT OL MAN?" "THERES A BABOON EATING A MOUSE" Completely lost Rich gets up walks over to the stairs "WHAT???" "THERE'S RACOONS IN THE HOUSE". Rich went downstairs and I followed. As I turn the corner all I see is a raccoon charging and Rich and the ol man taking off. For an old man Larry sure did move fast. Long story short we turned on the tv loud and waited for them to leave.

Larry could be difficult. He loved to argue and he loved to be right.. But deep down through that tough exterior Larry had a good heart. He never liked to admit it. But he loved his kids and grandchildren and always made sure they got what they needed.

His fantastical stories and his exaggerations would make a best selling " Big Fish" type book And a factual autobiography an award winning novel.

Love you ol' man
