Linda Linehan

Lifelong Petoskey resident, Linda Linehan, passed from this life on March 18, 2017, surrounded by her family.  Her family plans to remember her life privately during a graveside service at Greenwood Cemetery; the service will be led by Fr. Greg Brown, Rector of Emmanuel Episcopal Church. 

Linda was born in Petoskey on October 11, 1931, her parents were Ralph and Alice (Thomas) Feather.  She grew up in Petoskey and was a graduate of Petoskey High School.

On June 26, 1954 she married Norman Linehan in Petoskey. Linda worked for her family business, Preston Feather Building Center for most of her working life; in her retirement years she also worked for Koehler Services.

Linda was very close to her daughter, Kathleen Merrigan of Petoskey, and to her granddaughters, Chelsea Merrigan and Noelle Merrigan, all three survive.  Linda is also survived by her nephew, Patrick Linehan, niece, Leslie Linehan (Michael Howell), by her sister-in-law, Grace Marie Donahue of Harbor Springs.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Norman and by her brother Noel Thomas Feather and brother-in-law Fred Linehan.

Those wishing to remember Linda with a charitable contribution are asked by her family to consider the Karmanos Cancer Center or Hospice of Little Traverse Bay.
