My grandpa, Carl Oxley, used to take us to see Uncle Norm and ride horses. I have really special memories of those times, and I'm so sorry to hear that Norm has passed. I have a three year old daughter now, and every time I see her on a horse, I am reminded of those visits. His memory will live on.

Norm was a very nice man! We always enjoyed talking with him wherever we met. He was such a good man. We know that he leaves many wonderful memories and wish you all peace.

So sorry to hear of Norms passing. My father and Norm were very good friends. I moved away after marrying and my children would visit my parents each summer. One of the highlights of the visit was going out to Uncle Norm's house to ride Sunny and see Boomer! All four of my children have home videos of Uncle Norm walking in circles while they ride the horses. He was always so kind and had the biggest smile! He will have a place in our hearts forever!

Norm was one of the first people I met when I moved to Indian River in 1978. I met him buying an Arabian colt from Dr. Marion Weberlein (who I knew from childhood). He got me involved in 4-H in my new up north home. I am proud to have known him. He was a true gentleman. Many hugs to his loving family from a big fan!

Having been so close as my Parents were to Norm & Marge, I shared a huge amount of time with them! Loved going to the Millcreek campground & stoping at every site to visit; then on to Mackinaw City to enjoy Ice Cream!! You will be missed dear friend.. RIP Norm..💙

A special thank-you to Uncle Norm ( my favorite Sunday school teacher) who introduced me to my BFF at 4-years old at a potluck dinner in the church basement.

Dear Sandy and Family,

So very sorry to see Uncle Norm has passed.......But what a life he lived. He touched so many people and was one of the greatest we have met! 89 and lived life! Our entire office will miss Uncle Norm and his phone calls. I will never forget answering the phone right after I started there and he asked if this was Dr. So and So's office! What a jokester. So then after that when I called him I would tell him it was me from that Dr office. He would laugh! Norm, may your memory live forever in the lives you touched... I know our lives were better because of you!

Sandy, I also just lost my mother at the ripe old age of 95+! Even though you are so sad to lose your uncle, his life was long and so accomplished. He will be missed but how wonderful that he lived such a long and joy filled life. Thinking of you all.....

I am one of several who looked forward to seeing Uncle Norm at church every Sunday as I was growing up and now when my family and I are up north to visit. His smile and big hugs will be greatly missed!
