I lost touch with Sally many years ago. My mom, Mary Silcox (Smith), used to take me to her house, in Lansing, all the time when I was younger. I loved the blankets she always had, her white dog, her goulash, and her huge Charlie Brown book. I have thought of her quite often and she will be missed.

Sally was definitely one of my favorite residents when she lived at Independence
Village. We had a lot of good laughs together. Oh, how I loved the happy look on
her face when I would bring her a treat of Oreo cookies...her favorite snack. I will
miss her dearly.

Sally was an exceptional woman. With a BIG Heart of Gold. I enjoyed her quirkiness and fantastic outlook on life. She will be greatly missed.

So sad to hear of Sally's passing. She and I were very close when we both worked for DNR in downtown Lansing and lived a half block apart for two years. She was my maid of honor in December of 1969 and wore a lovely dress she knit for herself. I still have and use the fishermen's knit sweater she made for me. Terrific sense of humor, great cook, wonderful friend. I remember how much she thought of those three lovely nieces and went with her when she took Suzanne to Vermont in 1967 before her trip to Europe. Wonderful memories of wonderful times with a Great Lady!

Sally was a good friend of my mom Beth Lott and they shared many trips and a duplex for many years. She was a great friend to us as well. We have sweaters knit by her and many remembrances of her. I'm so sad to hear of her passing. She was a great lady.
All our love and prayers

Sally was a Lifeline volunteer for me when she lived in Lansing. Even though we lost touch over the years, she always had a special place in my heart and I was saddened to learn of her passing. Sally had a great sense of humor and a kind, generous heart. My husband & I "adopted" Sally's dog Holly after she got married and Holly was a source of joy to us for many years. My condolences to her family, I know she will be missed.

Sally was my mom's cousin (mine as well) and she was just a delightful, warm, loving person who always had a good sense of humour and kind word. She loved adventure and I always found her something of an inspiration. I remember when she retired, my mom and I (and a load of her work colleagues and friends) followed her in cars as she floated in the sky in a hot air balloon (a retirement gift from friends). I was probably an early teenager but I thought, "wow, when I am that age, I want to be doing cool things like that too." My condolences to her family and all those she knew. She was a fantastic woman and I am truly saddened by this loss. God speed, Sally. You will be much missed!
