Wilford "Wil" Duane Crouch

Wilford Duane “Wil” Crouch, age 72, of Sugar Island, Michigan passed away Sunday afternoon, July 17, 2016 at the Hospice of the EUP – Hospice House.

Wil was born on April 14, 1944 in Petoskey, Michigan, a son of the late Leo and Josephine (Croff) Crouch. He graduated from Petoskey High School with the class of 1962. He worked for the City of Petoskey for many years, retiring in 2002. On October 20, 1989, Wil married Joyce I. Hibbler in Petoskey. Wil was a master at building furniture and cupboards. He could visualize and build anything. He also enjoyed vegetable gardening, hunting, and fishing.

Wil is survived by his wife: Joyce I. Crouch; two sons: Ken Crouch of New Jersey, and Scott (Shelly) Crouch of Petoskey, MI; two grandsons: Tyler and Travis Crouch; four brothers: Delbert (Debbie) Crouch of Gaylord, MI, Sheldon (Lyn) Crouch of Alba, MI, Pat (Debbie) Crouch of Mancelona, MI, and Kevin (Mary) Crouch of Petoskey, MI; and two sisters: Donna (Terry) Conroy of Sugar Island, MI, and Sandy (Bob) Jones of Boyne City, MI.

Wil’s family plan to honor, remember and celebrate his life during a memorial service that is planned for Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Stone Funeral Home.  Friends are welcome to visit with the family beginning at 10:00 a.m. on the day of the service.
