Patricia Ann (Frank) Cole

Patricia "Patti" A. Cole, age 83 of Indian River and St. Ignace passed away Friday, October 9, 2015 at Hiland Cottage in Petoskey. She was born June 19, 1932 in Perry, MI, the daughter of Donovan W. and Amelia C. (Sober) Frank. On April 29, 1950 in Owosso, Patti married Howard W. Cole who preceded her in death on August 22, 2014.

The Cole family lived in many locations throughout Michigan and Florida.  In St. Ignace, she and Howard owned the Bavarian Haus Lakefront Inn and America's Best Value Inn. In 1987 they retired and moved to Indian River.

Patti and Howard enjoyed many winters in Punta Gorda, Fl. at the Rolls Landing Condominium Complex.  There they enjoyed golfing and boating and always looked forward to visits from family and friends.   They spent every fall at the Birch Creek Hunting Club near Curran MI where they were members for more than 30 years.  They also enjoyed their membership at the Indian River Golf and Country Club.  Patti was an excellent Bridge player.  She was also an avid fan of the St. Ignace Saints athletics programs. She loved to cheer on her grand children.  Most importantly however to Patti was her family.  She was a devoted mother and grandmother and loved nothing more than hosting large family gatherings.

Survivors include her two children, Howie (Kathy) Cole of Indian River and St. Ignace and Sonya (Lee) Smith of North Carolina, her sister, Sandra Dempsey of Round Rock, TX, son-in-law, Dennis Milosh of Kaleva, two special nieces, Dawn Grondin and Shawn Shirilla, seven grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Besides her husband Howard, Patti was preceded in death by two children, Cheryl Ann Cole and Terri Lynn Milosh.

No services are planned at this time. Memorial contributions in Patti's name may be directed to the Salvation Army.  Lintz Funeral Home is caring for the family.
