Phillip Wichlacz

Phillip Wichlacz, 74, of Cheboygan, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2016 at home

A lifelong resident of the area, Phillip was born January 18, 1942 in Cheboygan, the son of John and Clara (Mushlock) Wichlacz, Jr.   Phillip was a lifelong farmer on the family farm.    He also enjoyed polka music, the Detroit Tigers, instant lottery tickets, sharing stories with all of those who would visit, and was a member of St. Mary/St. Charles Catholic Church. 

Surviving are many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, six sisters, Bernice, Gertie, Edith, Theresa, Wanda, and Margie, and five brothers, Lawrence, Jack, Stanley, Raymond, and Chester.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 28, 2016 from 2:00-4:00pm, and 6:00pm-8:00pm, with a scripture service beginning at 7:00pm, at the Nordman-Christian Funeral Home.  The funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at 11:00am, with visitation beginning at 10:00am, at St. Mary/St. Charles Catholic Church.  Rev. Duane Wachowiak and Rev. Lawrence Ventline will concelebrate, burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
