Rhea Ann Murray, 82, of Petoskey, Michigan, died July 18, 2017 at Hiland Cottage in Petoskey.
Rhea was born on January 2, 1935 in Zanesville, Ohio, the daughter of Arthur W. Ardrey and Roma B. Dick. She grew up in Pentwater, Michigan and graduated high school from there. Later, she attended college at Central Michigan University.
On September 4, 1955, she married Henry E. Nietiedt. Together, they had two sons.
She later married Richard G. Murray, on October 28, 1967 in Pontiac, Michigan.
Rhea was a board member of the Petoskey Area Garden Club, a member of the Friends of the Petoskey District Library and Docent at the Crooked Tree Arts Center, as well as a volunteer at the Little Traverse History Museum.
Rhea is survived by her son, Zane (Stephanie) Nietiedt; siblings, Dolores Samuel, Dick Ardrey and Anita (John) Brocker; and grandchildren, Arthur and Amber Nietiedt.
She was preceded in death by her son, Mark Nietiedt; first husband, Henry Nietiedt; second husband, Richard Murray; and granddaughter, Jennifer Nietiedt.
There will be a memorial service at the Little Traverse Historical Museum, (100 Depot Court, Petoskey, Michigan 49770) on Saturday, July 22 at 11:00 a.m.
