William L. “Bill” Shea, 101, of Clearwater, Florida, formerly Mullett Lake, passed away Friday, October 6, 2017 in Largo, Florida.
A longtime resident of Mullett Lake, Bill was born March 12, 1916 in Detroit, the son of William and Frances (Montgomery) Shea.
A World War II veteran, Bill served as a sergeant in the U.S. Army from 1941-1945, and was the beloved husband of the late Virginia Boufford-Shea and the late Billie Boecker Shea.
He owned and operated Mullett Lake Upholstery and Canvas, while his wife Billie, operated Bambi’s Restaurant.
He is survived by loving families and many friends.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 13, 2017 at 11:00am, with his family greeting friends beginning at 10:00am, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Riggsville. Rev. Duane Wachowiak will officiate, burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Riggsville.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital.
