I am heartbroken to hear of you loss. I never met Kevin in person, but he was very dear to my heart. I thought the world of him and he was a very special guy with a big heart. Kevin made Flickr special. He made rockhounding special. He made his family special. Kevin was the kind of guy that made the world a better place and he will be soarly missed. I wish with all my heart I had met him in person but just thru his kindness and words of knowledge and insight I kind of feel like I did :)

Treasure his memory and know you were all so loved by him...

Kelly, Van and Mary,

I'm so sad to hear of your dad's passing. When I think of him I think of his laugh, his love of nature, Big agates and hunting with his dogs. Most of all he talked about you kids. Every time I talked to him, he gave me an update on your lives, a new job, marriage or graduation. He was so proud of you all and you were the joy of his life. that is clear.

You are all in my thoughts, Natalie

I wish to offer my condolences... I also appreciate the call from Kelly informing me of her fathers passing. I'm deeply saddened.

While my time with Kevin was brief; I know his pride and joy were Kelly, Van and Mary. Despite the difficulties or hardships... They remained his.

I am stunned at the loss of Kevin. My prayers are with Kelly, Mary and Van. He loved you all so much. Kevin was a lifelong and dear friend to my brother Rusty. After Rusty passed in 2009, Kevin and I rekindled our friendship by phone and email and occasional visits. He loved his family so much. He was also struggling to find his way. Hopefully he is now at peace and has joined his parents and his good friend Rusty on the other side.

My deepest sympathy. Kevin was my therapist for many years and news of his passing is very shocking and devastating. He spoke often about his "three amazing kids". His eyes would light up every time he spoke of his family. Prayers for all of you during this difficult time.

I am so sorry for your loss Kelly, Mary, Van (and Kim and Bob). I am so sad for you. He was a great uncle. It is hard to believe he is gone. I can't imagine what you are going through, but I am sure it is so hard. You were all great kids to him, and he loved you very much. He was a great (and funny) uncle. We are all thinking about you and your mom. Love you all.
